At the academy, our classes are designed to build self-discipline, respect, honor and confidence. We teach traditional Shorin-ryu Karate in a fun, positive atmosphere. In This atmosphere, we help kids to challenge themselves both mentally and physically. We teach them to set goals, increase self-esteem, respect, courtesy for others, develop team building skills, and tools for dealing with bullying. Accompanied with these skills, karate teaches fitness, agility, coordination, work ethic and a positive attitude. Our young students are taught that RANK IS EARNED, NOT GIVEN! The awarding of belts signifies to our kids a sense of achievement, accomplishment, confidence, character, hard work and improvement. We are mindful to teach the kids that karate is a foundation of self-defense and not a tool for aggression.

Our grappling classes are fun and informative. In a modern world, grappling (ground technique), is a fundamental part of the MARTIAL ARTS discipline. We combine techniques from Wrestling, Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, and Submission Grappling, to provide a well-rounded ground defense system.
Our kids absolutely love this class!!! We start them early with learning just the basics. Our focus is to teach them how to achieve the proper position, balance, and control. Students will not only learn how to control one- another with proper position, they will also learn how to escape one that is trying to control them. Once a student has displayed the discipline and control necessary for submission grappling and joint type locks, we will begin teaching them these areas of Jiu-Jitsu. As these students learn the skills of grappling, they will also learn the skills necessary for them to be able to get back to their feet, and the ability to create distance and get to safety.
With the Grappling and Karate programs, we provide your child will develop self-confidence, control, self-esteem, character, goal setting, coordination, and so much more than only the MARTIAL ARTS can provide. Other things that our MARTIAL ARTS programs provide, whether you are a man, woman, or child, are better health, increased flexibility, laser-like focus, the confidence to hold your head high, the ability to be a leader- not a follower, and the ability to resist peer pressure and bullying from others.
We stress to our students, as they learn and develop these skills, they are not there to be a tool to show off or bully others, but rather be confidence they carry inside so they don’t feel the need to do these type of things. We teach them these skills are there for their self-defense, and that they must use them only when it is truly self-defense.

Our Mixed Martial Arts classes are for everyone. Whether you are looking to compete in the cage, want to learn how to defend yourself on the ground, or just want to give it a try. Combine this class with our conditioning classes and you’re sure to be in great shape!
Our MMA classes focus on techniques from many different disciplines from NO-GI Jiu-Jitsu, Wrestling, Judo, Kickboxing, and Karate. Learn how to defend yourself from any position.
In addition to our MMA program, we also offer specialized training designed specifically for females. Learn what you should do and what not to do when you’re on the ground, and how to get to safety!!
Everyone will learn at their own pace. Our instructors will teach you the basic terminology and positions.
Next, you will focus on getting and maintaining position. We believe that it is more important in the beginning to learn to acquire position, rather than learn a bunch of techniques.
Next, you will move on to learning the techniques of submission grappling and the counters that are necessary for you to compete with another that is skilled in this art. After this, you will be ready to start some free roll and have a chance to put your training to the test in a controlled environment.

American Jiu-Jitsu/Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
This is a traditional Gi Grappling program. It combines both fun and sport level training with certified USJFF board members.
We are a 2019 USJFF Nationally recognized Annual Member
New offering to the Academy, we teach Jiu-Jitsu fundamentals, sport competition, and team building. We believe in an atmosphere of learning traditional techniques and developing modern styles.
